Mechanical Fitter, Water & Wastewater Sector, Covering Scotland, Long Term Contract

Responsibilities:

* Monday-Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
40 hours per week
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x

* Mechanical installation of pumps, screens, and rotating equipment

* Assemble and install pipework, valves, and ancillary equipment across sites in Scotland

* Work with various materials including PVC, ABS, ductile iron, galvanised steel, and stainless steel

* Install pumps including centrifugal, multistage, and progressive cavity pumps

* Interpret, follow, and explain technical instructions and engineering drawings

* Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, risk assessments, and method statements

* Work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating good organisation and time management

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in water, wastewater, or a similar industrial environment

* Experience with pipework assembly and pump installation

* Strong time management and communication skills, verbal and written

* Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials across Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering

* Ability to follow and interpret technical instructions

* Good organisational and interpersonal skills

* Working knowledge of H&S legislation, including risk assessments and method statements

* CSCS card required; confined space experience essential

* DOMS qualification advantageous but not essential
