Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Quality Technician / Quality Engineer to join their team at a leading metal pressing facility, supplying into high-demand sectors with a focus on quality, performance and reliability.

About the Role

As a key member of their Quality Team, you'll support the development and maintenance of robust quality systems and hands-on product verification to ensure every component meets customer and industry standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a grounding in quality assurance looking to develop their skills in CMM programming, PPAP compilation and internal auditing.

What You'll Be Doing

* Prepare quality documentation including Control Plans, Operator Instructions and In-Process Record Sheets

* Support and compile Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions

* Measure and inspect products using hand-held tools (gauges, verniers, micrometers, height gauges)

* Operate and ideally programme CMM machines for advanced dimensional checks

* Conduct internal inspections and support First-Off / Pass-Off procedures

* Participate in internal audits to ensure system compliance

* Support problem-solving activities including 8D reporting and root cause analysis

* Liaise with production to ensure that quality standards are understood and met

What You'll Need to Succeed

* Some previous experience in a quality-focused role within manufacturing

* Familiarity with measurement tools and interpretation of technical drawings

* CMM operation or programming experience is a bonus

* Working knowledge of PPAP, 8D, Control Plans and general quality systems

* Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and a practical approach to problem-solving

* A proactive, hands-on attitude with excellent communication skills
