KS1 / Key Stage 1 Teacher - Islington - September Start

SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Islington to recruit a talented and experienced KS1 Teacher for the full academic year, starting 1st September 2025.

This well-established two-form entry school is known for its commitment to nurturing the whole child and delivering an enriching, broad curriculum. They are now seeking a confident and engaging Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher who can bring energy, structure, and creativity to the classroom.

Location: Islington, North London
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Full Academic Year (until July 2026)
Pay: MPS3 - MPS5 (£218.13 to £241.38 per day PAYE)
Please note: ECTs are not being considered for this position

About the Role:

Full-time Key Stage 1 class teacher position within a friendly and well-supported primary school

You'll be responsible for a Year 1 or Year 2 class (depending on your preference and experience)

Delivering well-planned, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum

Using effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and raise attainment

Working collaboratively with your parallel class teacher and phase leader to maintain a consistent approach to teaching and learning

The Ideal KS1 / Key Stage 1 Teacher Will Have:

Prior experience teaching in a KS1 classroom in a UK primary school

A clear understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and how to adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils

Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and families

A creative approach to teaching and the confidence to bring fun and learning together

A team player attitude with a genuine desire to make a difference in children's educational journey

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Full right to work in the UK
