We are currently seeking a committed and skilled Learning Support Assistant to join an established alternative provision school in West London this September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone with the right experience, dedication, and passion to support students with diverse needs.

This role requires a Learning Support Assistant with strong literacy skills and, crucially, direct experience using Lexicon - a key literacy intervention programme used within the school. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering Lexicon-based sessions and adapting materials to support individual learners effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students with additional learning needs in both 1:1 and small group settings

*

Delivering structured literacy interventions using the Lexicon programme

*

Monitoring student progress and reporting to teaching staff

*

Helping to manage behaviour and engagement through supportive strategies

*

Building trusting, professional relationships with students who may have SEMH needs

Candidate Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ideally within an alternative provision or SEN setting

*

Essential: Strong working knowledge and practical experience of using the Lexicon programme

*

Excellent literacy skills

*

A calm, consistent and empathetic approach to student behaviour and learning

*

Ability to work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
