Salary: Up to £45,959 (DOE)
Hours: 37 per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid / Flexible

A well-established property consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its growing team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects within both the public and private sectors, offering strong career development and support towards chartership.

The Role

You will provide professional building surveying and maintenance consultancy services, working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, client-focused projects.

Key responsibilities include:

* Delivering projects in line with RICS standards

* Providing technical advice to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams

* Preparing specifications, drawings, and risk assessments for refurbishment and new build projects

* Producing tender documentation and undertaking contract administration and project management duties

* Carrying out condition surveys, defect analysis, dilapidations, and planned maintenance reports

* Undertaking measured surveys and preparing detailed technical reports

* Supporting conservation and heritage projects, including materials investigation and repair methods

* Ensuring quality assurance and compliance across all project delivery

* Contributing to business targets and maintaining a high level of fee earning

Requirements

* RICS membership or working towards Chartered status (APC support available)

* Proven experience within a building surveying role

* Strong knowledge of building regulations and relevant legislation

* Experience across refurbishment and new build projects

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Full UK driving licence
