The Role 

As Exams Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the full exams cycle, ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations, and supporting students and staff through the process. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things exams-related, from entries and timetables to results and post-results services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee internal and external exams administration
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of invigilators
  • Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations and data protection laws
  • Liaise with exam boards, staff, students, and parents
  • Support with access arrangements and special considerations
  • Manage results day logistics and post-results services
  • Maintain secure handling and storage of exam materials
Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:? Experienced in an Exams Officer role? Highly organised with excellent attention to detail? Confident using SIMS, Excel, Microsoft 365, and Teams? Knowledgeable about JCQ regulations, safeguarding, and GDPR? Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities? A strong communicator with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
