About the role

As a Senior Cost & Performance Controller, you play a key role in strengthening the financial performance of the organization. You act as a trusted advisor to senior management and provide sharp analyses, clear recommendations, and strategic insights.

This is not a standard controlling role - you will operate at a high level, challenge decision-making, and actively contribute to improving cost structures and long-term financial planning.

Your responsibilities

• Challenge senior management with strong financial analyses, insights, and improvement proposals
• Monitor cost developments and analyze budget deviations
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and ensure reliable financial planning
• Translate complex financial data into clear business cases and strategic recommendations
• Advise on cost awareness, efficiency, and investment decisions
• Perform benchmark analyses and identify risks and opportunities
• Optimize cost allocation structures and improve financial transparency

Your profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior controlling or business controlling role
• Strong knowledge of planning & control, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Experience in building business cases and advising senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently and influence decision-making
• Experience within financial services is a strong advantage
