Audit Partner / Audit & Accounts Partner (with RI status)

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a fast growing London-based Accountancy Firm with 6 partners and 50+ staff who are looking for an Audit & Accounts Partner with RI status (or Partner Designate) to join their growing team. Reporting to the Managing Partner, it will be a salaried partner role + profit share initially, with a view to becoming an equity partner in the future. You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of OMBs/SMEs including Limited Companies, PE-backed firms and Partnerships (typically up to £100m turnover) and managing a team of Qualified General Practice staff. Key deliverables for the position include:

• Reviewing complex client accounts & financial statements prepared by Qualified staff for client sign-off
• Ensuring all Audit & Account assignments comply with UK Accounting Standards and internal policies & procedures
• Managing complex audits, staff planning, presenting final audit files/close-out meetings with clients at 'C’ suite level
• Planning special project assignments, ownership of agreed budgets and ensuring the teams meet client deadlines.
• Setting objectives and completing appraisals for Audit staff, including future staff growth planning for the office
• Engaging with new clients and business development activities to help grow the firm across the Greater London area
• As Partner, point of contact for major with direct contact at CFO/CEO level
• Ensuring all work across the office is carried out profitably & on a timely basis in accordance with the firm’s standards
• Attending weekly Board Meetings with all Partners across the firm to discuss future growth strategy, staff planning, marketing etc
• Promoting other service lines within the firm and attending external business seminars/events as required

To be considered for the Audit/Audit & Accounts Partner role you should be a Qualified ACA or Qualified ACCA Accountant with RI status, ideally degree-educated with comprehensive External Audit experience with strong staff management and business growth skills. The firm is happy to consider current Partners who wish to make a move to a different practice, or someone at Audit Director level who has the potential to become Partner in 12-18 months time. They are therefore looking for ambitious, entrepreneurial, strategic and highly-driven personality traits; someone who can help increase revenues significantly within the next 2-5 years. On offer is a base salary up to £130,000 + profit share with benefits to include company pension, healthcare, 25 days holidays and flexible/WFH benefits.
