Are you a behaviour mentor who wants to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs?

This dynamic and supportive SEMH secondary school in Bromley is dedicated to helping students aged 11-16 who require tailored emotional, behavioural and academic support. Many of their students have experienced significant challenges in mainstream education and thrive with structured guidance, patience and care.

We are currently seeking a resilient, nurturing and committed Behaviour Mentor to join the schools team and support pupils with emotional regulation, social development and behaviour management—helping them re-engage with their learning and make meaningful progress.

Your Role Will Include - Behaviour Mentor

* Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils aged 11-16

* Supporting students with challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, ADHD, and trauma-related experiences

* Assisting in the development and implementation of personalised behaviour support plans

* Promoting emotional literacy, resilience, and coping strategies

* Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to promote a consistent, supportive environment

* Acting as a positive role model to build students' confidence and self-worth

* Using de-escalation strategies and trauma-informed approaches when required

We Are Looking For Someone Who - Behaviour Mentor

* Has previous experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (school or youth work experience preferred)

* Understands the impact of trauma, anxiety and social communication difficulties

* Can remain calm and confident in challenging situations

* Is emotionally intelligent, patient, and committed to inclusion

* Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills

* Ideally holds or is willing to undertake Team Teach or equivalent behaviour training
