Introduction…

We are currently looking for an individual to work with our nuclear client and be responsible for the planning, management and control or day to day site operations. This will be done in a safe manner; you will need to ensure that the activities run to programme and cost as determined in the project/quality plan. You will also be involved in bid support.

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop the technical competency of the Company whilst promoting relationships between the Project, Fabrication and Site teams.
A managerial role with technical inference and understanding, ability to support Project Management, Delivery and Engineering roles with HEL

Assist as necessary in the development of Safe Systems of Work including; Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Lifting Assessments (in conjunction with Lifting Supervisor or similar)
Undertake / assist with project reviews and develop design solutions
Write technical specifications to facilitate procurement, raising necessary paperwork and purchase requisitions for approval
Undertake site surveys
Procure necessary items within budget, safety and quality requirements
Liaise with site and / or other staff to ensure any installation, commissioning or general operations are completed both efficiently, safely, to relevant quality standards and project deadlines
In liaison with Workshop Supervisor, supervise project team members, subcontractors and suppliers as appropriate and determined within the programme; as required under guidance of the Works Manager
Control and support a team of skilled; semi-skilled and technically based individuals
Skills &Qualifications

Apprenticeship or similar qualification in engineering discipline
IOSH or other form of H&S qualification
CSCS
Supervision of team of specialists or skilled personnel
Successfully running of site-based projects or programmes
Experience in Steelwork fabrications and/pr Erection business
Familiar with operations being performed with in radiation/contamination-controlled areas familiar with recognised quality systems and & requirements
