Key Responsibilities:

* Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, ensuring goods are transported to various locations.

* Perform regular vehicle checks, ensuring the truck is in good working order before and after each journey.

* Deliver goods to customers in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high standards of service.

* Comply with all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.

* Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and fuel records.

* Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring all items are properly secured during transit.

* Manage delivery schedules and ensure prompt communication regarding any delays or issues.

* Collection and Deliveries on curtain sider vehicles.

* Start times varied - days, afternoons and evening shifts required.

Key Requirements:

* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.

* Digital tachograph card and CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).

* Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver is highly desirable.

* Good understanding of road traffic regulations and safety standards.

* Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.

* Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

* Ability to work flexibly, including weekends or night shifts, if required.

* A good level of physical fitness, as manual handling, may be required.

* Must have 2 years driving experience.
