Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Mental Health Social Worker to join a dynamic and supportive Mental Health Team in Greenock. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Social Worker seeking a high-paying locum social work role within adult mental health services.

The Role – Mental Health Social Worker

As a Social Worker within the Mental Health Team, you will manage a varied caseload of adults experiencing complex mental health needs. You will play a key role in promoting recovery, independence, and positive outcomes while ensuring statutory duties are met.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in:

  • Adult Mental Health Services
  • Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT)
  • Care Act assessments
  • Mental Health Act work
  • Risk assessments and safeguarding adults
  • Multi-disciplinary team working

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive social work assessments within adult mental health services
  • Complete Care Act assessments and support planning
  • Carry out risk assessments and safeguarding investigations
  • Contribute to Mental Health Act processes where required
  • Manage a complex caseload effectively and autonomously
  • Work collaboratively with NHS professionals, housing services, and voluntary agencies
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate case records

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent)
  • Current SSSC registration
  • Proven experience within a Mental Health Team or Community Mental Health setting
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act and Mental Health Act
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment
