The Headteacher is seeking a motivated and passionate Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), including preparation for GCSE examinations. Your role will be pivotal in supporting student achievement and contributing to a positive and ambitious school culture.

What You'll Be Doing:

Deliver high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the national curriculum

Use a range of teaching strategies and practical activities to promote scientific inquiry and critical thinking

Prepare and support students for assessments and GCSE examinations

Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL students

Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where students feel motivated to succeed

Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing feedback that supports growth

Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to develop schemes of work and share best practice

Participate in school life, including parents' evenings, extracurricular clubs, and CPD sessions

Uphold the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science)

Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level (GCSE); ECTs are also encouraged to apply

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering engaging, inspiring science lessons

Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive teaching approach

Commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to school life
