We are currently recruiting for experienced Engineers with tunneling experience to join a long-term major infrastructure and pipeline project in Liverpool. This is a 12-18 month contract working with a leading civils contractor on specialist trenchless crossing and microtunneling works.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage microtunneling operations including TBM setup, jacking pits, and launch/reception shafts

*

Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, site teams, and supervisors

*

Monitor tunnel progress, ground conditions, and equipment performance

*

Support QA documentation and maintain accurate site records

*

Ensure compliance with technical drawings and health & safety protocols

*

Liaise with the project team to meet programme and quality expectations

Requirements:

*

Proven experience working on microtunneling or trenchless technology projects

*

Strong knowledge of tunneling techniques, shaft construction, and TBM systems

*

CSCS card required; SSSTS/SMSTS beneficial

*

Comfortable managing subcontract teams and working under minimal supervision

*

Excellent communication and reporting skills
