Design Manager / Design Leader / Lead Design Engineer required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful Design Manager / Design Leader / Lead Design Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of design engineers, overseeing the entire design lifecycle from concept development through to production, testing, and delivery. Full product training provided.

The Design Manager / Design Leader / Lead Design Engineer will ideally have hdraulic system design experience and proven experience of leading a team of designers or a compentnt Hytdraulic Design Engineer looking for progression in to management.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Hydraulic design engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Act as the technical authority on hydraulic and fluid power systems, ensuring all designs adhere to performance, safety, and reliability standards.
Oversee the full design lifecycle: concept development, prototyping, production, testing, and final delivery of the hydraulic systems.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure a seamless transition from hydraulic system design to manufacture.
Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Site based in Liverpool.Design Manager / Design Leader / Lead Design Engineer Requirements:

Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
Proven experience leading and managing a design team within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in the design and development of hydraulic and fluid power systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Degree or relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., Mechanical Engineering or similar field) is advantageous.
Ability to work in Liverpool or relocate
