Intervention Teaching Assistant - Hounslow - Full time - February Half Term Start!
With the recent announcement of the lockdown we are currently recruiting for additional members of staff to help run intervention sessions after the February half term. This role will be focused around running group based sessions for students of all abilities, this will include running sessions for gifted and talented, lower ability and special educational needs students.
What will the role consist of?
As an intervention teaching assistant you will be working with groups of 3-5 students of all abilities and needs, including those with special educational needs. You will work closely with the class teacher to plan and adapt lessons and activities to each groups ability, including providing interactive and alternative solutions to engage with each student. As the interventions will be targetting gaps in learning and help to boost their understanding of the curriculum it is crucial to provide accurate feedback and development updates to the class teacher and other members of staff.
What is the school like?
As a large four form entry school they have created a school that focuses around inclusion and teaching their student's to be inquisitive and accepting of people from different backgrounds and cultures, and those of different abilities. With high numbers of special educational needs members of staff have receive internal CPD training to help adapt their support to each student. The school has a number of additional CPD courses available to all members of staff.
The large school has recently moved in to a brand new building, having excellent learning facilities for all students. This includes having a large on site car park available for all members of staff. The school is also located a short walk from Feltham Train station, which is also connected by a number of bus services.
