Outer London Point Scale 6 - 10 £28,929 - £30,630

Hours: 36 per week - 52 weeks per annum

Times & Days are flexible & will be negotiated by mutual consent but likely to be 2 Days 8:00am to 4:00pm (30-minute lunch break); 2 Days 1:00pm to 9:00pm (30-minute lunch break). This cycle will include 1 day on a Saturday or Sunday or a mutually agreeable day.

Annual Leave: 21 days plus bank holidays rising to 25 days after five years' service

The Site Supervisor is responsible to the Senior Site Supervisor for a variety of tasks as outlined, but not exclusively within this job description.

In addition, the Site Supervisor will assist with general maintenance, redecoration and refurbishment work to ensure that the teaching facilities, equipment, plant, premises and grounds of the School are maintained at the highest possible state of operational readiness, cleanliness and appearance

Security - Site Supervisor

In association with the Site Team be jointly responsible for all aspects of the security of the site and its contents including fixtures and fittings, and the operation of the fire and burglar alarms (being a keyholder, as necessary.
Disarm the alarm system and unlock all buildings in preparation for the school day.
Maintain security during the day, be vigilant of strangers/visitors on site and check their identities.
Secure the site including windows, all doors, gates, re-arm the alarm system at the end of the day.
As an additional key holder, respond to out of hours emergencies including liaison with the police, as required.

Lighting and Heating - Site Supervisor

To assist the Senior Site Supervisor in attending to the heating and lighting of the premises including the maintenance and operation of plant and equipment.

Porterage - Site Supervisor

To carry out such porterage and post duties as may he required to ensure the smooth running of the school, each day and of school lettings outside normal school hours (as detailed in the School Lettings Policy).
Moving of furniture, paper, equipment, deliveries etc. always adhering to the principles of safe handling and with the use of mechanical aids.
Setting out of furniture and preparing rooms both for use by the school and for lettings.

As part of Site Team, the Site Supervisor will assist with:

Helping to supervise and monitor cleaning staff.
Participate daily in routine cleaning and checking as required.
Attend to emergencies during the day e.g. floods, spillages, sickness etc.
Checking & replenish soap, toilet paper, hand driers, paper towels, sanitary towels etc
Carry out window cleaning duties as requested.
Carry out high level cleaning including light fittings, shades, diffusers etc.
Ensure all outside areas are kept free of litter and debris including the School field, gardens, paths and drives and inside and outside the perimeter fence.
Sweep all outside hard surface areas at necessary intervals.
Empty external litter bins.
Maintaining clean and work rooms and storage areas.
Assisting with the management of the recycling programme.
Remove any internal or external graffiti immediately on becoming aware of its existence on the School premises.
To attend to all aspects of maintenance as required by the Senior Site Supervisor when capable of doing so and using the tools and materials provided but always observing good safety rule.
To work alongside contractors if necessary and to monitor their work if required.
To take part in appropriate training courses intended to improve handyperson skills.
To carry out routine cleaning of gutters, gulleys etc.
To undertake both external and internal decoration when requested.
To undertake where capable carpentry, plumbing and minor electrical work etc.

Lettings/Community Use and Functions - Site Supervisor

To assist the Senior Site Supervisor & Facilities Manager to make provision for School lettings, community use & special events, taking responsibility for an equitable share of such duties with other members of the Site Team.
The Site Supervisor will be willing to co-operate with all reasonable requests to undertake overtime, payable at the agreed overtime rate, to maintain the effective operation of the School lettings/community use service in the event of absence, leave or temporary unfilled vacancies.
Liaison with the personnel responsible for arranging School lettings to ensure the up to date schedule of out of school hours lettings, events and functions is adequately covered.
Preparation of the required accommodation in accordance with the Lettings Policy.
Providing security supervision on site, as appropriate to the letting.
Cleaning of the premises as necessary on completion of the letting.
Working at such times as is necessary to cover these lettings/community use.Reeson Education:
