We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Learning Care Support Assistant to join a specialist college provision in the Harrow area on a temporary basis.

This role involves supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs within a college environment.

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to learners with PMLD

• Assisting with personal care (toileting, feeding, hygiene)

• Supporting students with mobility needs (moving and handling)

• Working closely with teaching staff and therapists

• Supporting communication through PECS, Makaton, or other visual aids

• Promoting independence, dignity and inclusion

• Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)

• Complex medical needs

• Physical disabilities

• Non-verbal communication

• Sensory needs

• Personal care requirements

• Experience working with PMLD or complex needs

• Team Teach (desirable but not essential)

• Manual handling training

• Patient, resilient and nurturing approach

• Experience within SEN school or college settings
