Technology Teacher - Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

A Technology Teacher is sought to join a dynamic faculty, reporting to the Head of Faculty. This role involves delivering high-quality, differentiated, and challenging lessons to foster student resilience, confidence, and academic success.
Day-to-day of the role: - Plan and deliver lessons adhering to high-quality teaching principles, ensuring all lessons are differentiated and challenging.
- Prepare students for both external and internal exams, ensuring compliance with exam board requirements.
- Set, mark, and assess homework, assignments, and NEAs in accordance with the department's policy.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students, allowing for feedback and improvement time.
- Communicate effectively with parents, the pastoral team, and department heads through various channels including reports, consultations, and meetings.
- Ensure student safety, reporting any concerns immediately.
- Foster positive relationships and monitor attendance within the classroom.
- Support the SENCO and other faculty members by providing necessary information and commentary for students requiring additional support.
- Recognize and encourage positive learning behaviour and effort in line with school policies.
Additional Responsibilities: - Serve as a form tutor, fostering positive relationships and supporting students through academic mentoring.
- Manage daily briefing communications and ensure all necessary information is relayed to students.
- Monitor and report on the academic performance of students, paying special attention to those with additional educational needs.
- Encourage and support students' involvement in extracurricular and house activities.
Pastoral Support: - Maintain regular communication with the Head of Year and Student Support teams.
- Monitor students' attendance and punctuality, referring any concerns as necessary.
- Provide written reports on students' personal, social, and academic progress as required.
Professional Development: - Actively participate in performance management processes and engage in continuous professional development (CPD) activities.
- Stay updated with the latest subject knowledge and teaching methods to enhance professional growth.
Life of School: - Support the school's ethos and mission statement.
- Adhere to the school's Health and Safety Policy and fulfill all designated duties.
