Job Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are seeking a Process Specialist to join our Product Integrity department. This role is crucial for optimising manufacturing processes and ensuring the effective introduction of new product developments (NPD) and enhancements to existing products (EPD). The Process Specialist will maintain high standards of process capability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance, acting as a technical liaison between product and process development and manufacturing.

Day-to-day of the role:

Lead the integration of new product developments into manufacturing, ensuring a smooth transition from development to full-scale production.
Oversee the ongoing refinement of existing products, ensuring adherence to quality standards, operational efficiency, and compliance with customer and regulatory specifications.
Manage processes related to production, ensuring execution aligns with established standards.
Evaluate and enhance process capabilities, guaranteeing consistent, high-quality outputs while minimising variability.
Identify and implement strategies to optimise manufacturing processes, enhancing productivity and reducing waste.
Plan, execute, document, and analyse product trials to ensure process feasibility, scalability, and alignment with both commercial and technical requirements.
Conduct trials to verify that machinery meets operational, hygiene, and quality standards prior to full deployment.
Oversee the commissioning of new equipment, ensuring that it meets process requirements and supports long-term operational effectiveness.
Develop and manage a structured audit schedule, conducting regular audits to promote continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovations in packaging that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and consumer appeal.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience in food manufacturing process management, NPD integration, and process optimisation.
Demonstrated success in process audits, equipment trials, and commissioning.
Expertise in process efficiency improvements and continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and BRC standards.
Understanding of process capability and manufacturing efficiency techniques.
Experience with product and packaging development trials.
Familiarity with regulatory registration requirements and compliance processes.
Strong data analysis skills to interpret trial and audit results.
Strategic thinker, capable of bridging R&D and manufacturing operations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working cross-functionally with technical, production, and regulatory teams.
