Educate Staffing is currently supporting a primary school in Hounslow to recruit a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to make a real difference in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
The Role
As a Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of pupils, with a particular focus on those with SEN. You will provide targeted support to help pupils achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential, while contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN, including supporting learning, behaviour, and personal development.
- Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
- Implement strategies and interventions to support pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and contributing to EHCPs where required.
- Support the inclusion of all pupils in classroom activities and school life.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Support pupils with personal care, where necessary, in line with school policies.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support for pupils.
Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (highly desirable).
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school setting.
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with behavioural, social, or learning challenges.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently, taking initiative to support pupils effectively.
- Full-time availability is essential.
