We're looking for a proactive and collaborative Health & Safety Specialist to join our dynamic team at a large-scale manufacturing facility in Hull. This is a pivotal role where you'll not only identify health and safety issues but also lead the charge in developing practical, sustainable solutions through continuous improvement and regular review of our standard operating procedures.
Above all, we're seeking someone who thrives on working closely with stakeholders across all levels of the business to foster a culture of safety and shared responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:

Champion the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety policies and procedures across the site.
Lead regular H&S meetings and contribute to strategic safety initiatives.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure full compliance with current health and safety legislation and best practices.
Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
Carry out audits and inspections to drive ongoing safety improvements.
Deliver training and provide guidance to engineers, contractors, and operational teams.
Manage PPE requirements, ensuring availability, suitability, and certification.
Act as a key liaison during regulatory inspections and audits.What We're Looking For:

NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
Proven experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a strong focus on manufacturing safely.

IOSH membership or equivalent training.
Solid understanding of UK H&S legislation and risk management principles.
Awareness of workplace wellbeing and employee engagement in safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - a true team player who can influence and support others.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.What We Offer:
