Mechanical Day Shift Engineer - FM Service Provider - Banking Environment - Liverpool Street, London - £48,000 per annum

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to be based at a large banking site located near Liverpool Street, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established FM service provider working within a critical banking environment.

The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G/NVQ Level 2 or above) and will have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of a small on-site maintenance team of two engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical, electrical and general building services maintenance across the site.

Hours of Work:

4 on 4 off / 6 on 4 off / 4 on 6 off
07:00 am - 19:00 pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor mechanical plant and equipment across the building.
Maintenance of pumps, motors, seals, bearings and associated plant equipment.
Air conditioning maintenance, including AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning and basic servicing).
Water treatment monitoring, including temperature checks.
Basic plumbing duties including unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers.
Monitoring the BMS system and reporting any abnormalities.
Basic electrical duties such as lamp changes and minor electrical tasks.
General building fabric maintenance.
Escort specialist subcontractors when required.
Carry out all allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner.
Proactively identify and report faults with building services equipment and assist in resolving issues.
Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed and escalate issues where required.
Maintain clear communication with client staff and site management regarding service issues.
Remain flexible regarding tasks carried out within personal competency.

Requirements:
Mechanically qualified - Level 2 (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent) minimum
Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates (essential)
Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
Multi-skilled across mechanical, electrical and general building services
Strong communication and customer service skills
