As an Audit Senior with a Top 20 accountancy firm, you'll be responsible for delivering audits across a varied client base, working with organisations of different sizes and sectors. You'll take ownership of audit files, coach junior staff, and play a key role in maintaining trusted client relationships.

Description

As an Audit Senior, the successful candidate will manage audits for small, medium, and large clients, prepare audit files and statutory accounts, supervise and mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You'll work closely with clients and partners, developing technical expertise while contributing to the growth and quality standards of the firm.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, executing, and finalising audit assignments
  • Supervising, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior team members
  • Preparing statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Identifying risk areas and ensuring high-quality reporting
  • Managing workloads and meeting tight deadlines

Profile

A successful Audit Senior should have:

  • ACA/ACCA qualification
  • At least 3-4 years' experience working in practice, with proven audit exposure
  • Strong knowledge of audit procedures and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and liaise confidently with clients
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills
  • Be able to Commute to Manchester city centre regularly
