Belmont Recruitment are looking for a highly motivated and organised part-time management accountant due to large growth. We are interested in speaking with individuals that have a keen eye for detail to join our growing team in an exciting, fast-paced environment within our modern Preston Office.

We are major suppliers to the NHS and Local Authorities, supplying temporary staff within both the public and large private sector organisations. It is imperative you are confident in your abilities as this role will be working with a more junior accounts assistant who can assist with your duties. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and work in conjunction with our end of year accountants.

Responsibilities include:

Oversight of accounts assistant

Ensuring items are coded and accounted for correctly

Full overall AR and AP responsibility including the accuracy of invoicing data over various systems

Posting of accruals and prepayments

Creating and submitting weekly payment runs in accordance with internal procedures for our temporary staff (Payments to Umbrella Companies/ Third Party Payment Solutions and PSC's)

Full overall responsibility of reconciliations (via multiple live bank feeds)

Management of customer credit including maintaining good relations with NHS/ Local Authority accounts departments

Month end production of management accounts and year end trial balances

Continued improvements of financial functions and practice

P+L and Balance Sheet Reporting

Knowledge of and oversight of our company financing facility

Monthly employee payroll (desirable but not essential)

Who would be the right fit?

Somebody with Xero experience

Somebody with strong attention to detail

Somebody confident with accurate written and verbal communication to both colleague and external parties to the business

Somebody with extensive SME accounts experience in a fast-paced open plan environment

Somebody committed to their professional work

What we offer?

Salary Between £28,000 - £40,000 FTE per year (negotiable)

Tuesday to Thursday (With some flexibility to our desired 9am-5pm working hours)
