Overview:
A well-established manufacturer in the West Midlands is seeking a skilled CAD Design Technician to join their technical and production engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for design and engineering to contribute to innovative product development and detailed technical planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans based on architectural and design specifications.
Modify existing drawings and create detailed production instructions tailored to customer requirements.
Set up bill of materials and product structures using the company's MRP system (training provided).
Support the development and prototyping of new products in collaboration with the engineering team.Skills & Experience Required:

Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical drawing interpretation.
Proficiency in CAD software, ideally Autodesk AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and BIM.
Competence in Microsoft Office for documentation and presentation.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to review and ensure drawing accuracy.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Flexible and responsive to design changes and project needs.
Solid mathematical and spatial reasoning skills.
