The Role - Legal Secretary (Family Law)
This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated Legal Secretary to join a busy and friendly Family Law department. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, ensuring clients receive a professional and efficient service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing fee earners' diaries and assisting with day-to-day administrative needs
  • Preparing files for billing
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, post, and internal messages
  • Typing correspondence, photocopying, filing, scanning, and opening new matters
  • Providing a calm, supportive, and professional service to clients, particularly those navigating sensitive family matters
  • Preparing straightforward legal documents
  • Ensuring compliance with LEXCEL standards and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Understanding basic Solicitors Accounts Rules relating to receipts, payments, and client accounting
  • Liaising with clients and third parties to facilitate progress on matters
  • Assisting with postal duties and providing occasional reception cover

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary
  • Familiarity with LEXCEL accreditation standards
