About the Role

The successful candidate will support the delivery of safe, compliant and high-performing facilities environments that enable frontline policing to operate without disruption.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a commercially driven, soft-services FM profile, rather than those with a predominantly hard-services, engineering or project-handover background.

  • Manage key suppliers, including cleaning, security, catering, waste, grounds maintenance and other soft-services providers.
  • Lead on contract management, including performance reviews, KPI monitoring, issue resolution and improvement actions.
  • Support procurement activity, including tendering, contract variation reviews, commercial negotiations and supply-chain optimisation.
  • Monitor budgets, cost efficiency and commercial performance across soft-services contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, legislation and operational requirements within an active policing environment.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Metropolitan Police to ensure service alignment, transparency and responsiveness.
  • Identify risks, escalate issues and implement mitigation measures to protect operational continuity.
  • Produce reports, updates and recommendations for senior stakeholders, highlighting contract performance, risks and improvement areas.
What We’re Looking ForEssential Experience
  • Strong commercial FM experience, ideally gained in large, complex or multi-site environments.
  • Proven background in soft-services FM, including supply chain management and contractor oversight.
  • Demonstrable experience in procurement, commercial negotiations, KPIs, SLAs and contract governance.
  • Ability to deliver quick impact in fast-paced or high-pressure operational environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience working within policing, security-sensitive or complex public-sector environments.
  • Understanding of compliance in secure, regulated or mission-critical estates.
  • Experience managing FM within large, multi-disciplinary property portfolios.
Not Suitable
  • Candidates with predominantly hard-services, engineering or technical M&E backgrounds.
  • Candidates whose experience centres on project-handover, capital works delivery or reactive maintenance leadership.

(Profiles similar to Victoria’s are preferred; candidates similar to Anslem—more project/hard-services-oriented—are not aligned to the commercial and soft-services focus required.)
