Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client in Surrey.

In this role you will assess housing needs, prevent homelessness, and work with customers and partners to deliver practical, lawful housing solutions.

Duties:

• Assess housing circumstances and complete statutory homelessness decisions in line with legislation
• Develop and review personalised housing plans to prevent or relieve homelessness
• Provide clear advice and support to customers in complex and challenging situations
• Work with landlords, partner agencies, and internal teams to secure suitable housing solutions

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience working with vulnerable people in housing or homelessness-related services
• Experience completing homelessness casework and statutory assessments
• Experience providing high-quality, customer-focused advice in challenging situations
• Experience working in partnership with external agencies and service providers

What's on offer:

Salary: £25ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 12 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
