Job Type: Permanent, FullTime

Salary: £25000 - £28000/annum

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a passionate, professionally talented, flexible, committed and experienced Service Leader to join our well established and expanding management team in Highlands and Moray.

The Service Leader will manage a supported living service for 8 people we currently support with complex care and support needs including learning disabilities, complex mental health concerns, Autism, to live a fulfilling lifestyle of their choice whilst living independently in their own home in the local community. 

Key Responsibilities of a Service Leader:

The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the overall management of the Service, ensuring that all aspects of support and service delivery is focused on meeting the needs and preferences of the people supported within the philosophical framework of person-centred planning. 

You will require strong leadership and facilitation skills to encourage staff teams to take the ownership and responsibility for the quality of care and support they deliver.

Knowledge and experience of using person centred planning techniques to deliver excellent support practices, including developing robust service designs, support strategies and risk assessments whilst managing service/individual budgets are also essential.     

Previous experience of working with this client group and in an independent living setting are both essential, as is experience of working with teams across multi-sites.

You will also be responsible for the overall supervision, quality assurance, monitoring, regulatory requirements and day-to-day management of colleagues working within your team your teams therefore previous management experience working a social care setting is essential.

Service Leader Requirements:

Be a motivated, self-starter with supervisory or management experience in the Health and Social Care sector

Have, or be working towards, an SVQ 4 in Health and Social Care if they have not already obtained this or have an equivalent qualification.

Be required to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting in post

Have a good understanding of relevant legislation i.e. GDPR, Health and Safety, Whistleblowing, Adult Support and Protection and apply this to practice

Be an excellent communicator who is able to manage and coach staff teams to develop.

Have experience of managing rotas
