RG Consultancy are working with a property business in Northwich who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. The role is an all-around accounts role to support with the day to day running of the accounts department. You will join a small team and report into the Finance Manager

Role Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices, including matching, batching, and coding
- Preparing and posting sales invoices and assisting with credit control
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting daily bank reconciliations and cash monitoring
- Assisting with month-end tasks such as journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Maintaining accurate purchase, sales, and nominal ledgers
- Managing tenant and landlord account queries
- Assisting with VAT returns and other submissions
- Supporting year-end audit preparation
- Providing general administrative support to the Finance Manager and finance team
Person Specification
- At least 5 years experience working with an all around accounts or similar role
- AAT qualified or studying towards would be an advantage for this role
- Experience working for a property company would be an advantage but not essential
- Strong IT skills including accounting software and MS Excel, experience using different and bespoke software's would be an advantage
