Ranging from 3-5 bedroom homes that support Children & Young people that have Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs.

Role Description:

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing care, guidance, and support to the residents. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will create a warm and supportive environment where residents can thrive and lead fulfilling lives. Your compassion and commitment will make a significant impact on the well-being and development of those in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Develop positive and trusting relationships with residents, promoting independence and self-esteem.
  • Implement individual care plans and support strategies tailored to each resident's specific needs.
  • Encourage and facilitate residents participation in recreational, social, and educational activities.
  • Observe and record residents progress, reporting any concerns or changes in behaviour to the appropriate team members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure comprehensive and person-cantered care.
  • Promote a nurturing and inclusive environment that respects the dignity and rights of residents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records related to resident care and progress.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar care or support role, preferably within a residential setting.
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and work effectively within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
