JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Quality Manager for their client within the manufacturing sector.
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5
Salary: £50,000+ (dependent on experience)
Hours of Work: Full-time

The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business.
You will be responsible for managing the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100 / ISO9001 standards, ensuring compliance across all operations.
The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day activity of the inspection department, including managing a team of two inspectors, while also remaining hands-on with inspection tasks.
You will act as the main point of contact for customers regarding quality-related issues, ensuring concerns are addressed effectively and professionally.
Responsibilities will also include coordinating the preparation of inspection documentation such as FAIRs, PPAPs, and detailed inspection reports.
As a key member of the management team, you will take ownership of the company's quality performance, reporting on KPIs directly to the Directors and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience / Skills Required:
Experience managing a Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100 / ISO9001 standards
Previous experience conducting and managing both internal and customer audits
Strong knowledge and experience within CNC machining environments
Hands-on experience with measuring equipment, including CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
Experience using PC-DMIS to program CMMs from CAD models
Strong leadership skills with experience managing or supervising inspection teams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with customers and internal stakeholders
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required for this role
