Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join a local trusts Neuro Therapy Hub, providing high-quality physiotherapy to neurological patients within a community setting. This is a full-time temporary post starting ASAP, based in Birmingham.

A full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Act as an experienced practitioner within physiotherapy for adults with neurological conditions in the community.

*

Independently assess and treat patients with complex neurological presentations, creating and managing individualised care plans.

*

Work in collaboration with the Therapy Hub team and receive support from a city-wide neurological team.

*

Deliver patient-centred care in patients' homes, clinics, or community settings.

*

Promote patient independence and functional recovery through evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.

*

Engage with carers and families to provide education and support in line with patient goals.

*

Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge planning.

*

Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, adhering to professional and legal standards.

Essential Criteria:

*

HCPC-registered Physiotherapist

*

Proven post-registration experience, with substantial work involving neurological patients in a community setting

*

Able to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

*

Excellent assessment, treatment planning, and clinical reasoning skills

*

Strong communication and organisational skills

*

Car driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes

Desirable:

*

Familiarity with RiO electronic patient record system

*

Smartcard access

*

Knowledge of community neuro pathways and services in the Birmingham area
