We’re looking for a visionary Maintenance Manager to join our Estates & Facilities Engineering Team at one of the UK’s most respected universities. This is your opportunity to lead a high-performing team and shape the future of a world-class estate.

�? What You’ll Be Doing
  • Delivering a customer-focused Hard FM and Fabric Maintenance service across a diverse and historic estate
  • Leading engineers and contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality mechanical, electrical, BMS, and building fabric services
  • Driving innovation, sustainability, and energy efficiency across the campus
  • Managing risk registers, compliance documentation, and business continuity planning
  • Overseeing budgets, accruals, and financial planning with a focus on value for money
  • Collaborating with Campus Operations and Asset Improvement teams to ensure a seamless, one-team approach
  • Ensuring your team is trained, competent, and continuously upskilled
  • Promoting environmental responsibility through sustainable management practices
?? What You Bring

Essential:

  • HND/HNC in Building Services
  • NEBOSH certification
  • GCSEs (A–C) in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and general IT literacy
  • In-depth knowledge of health & safety legislation
  • Extensive managerial and budgetary experience
  • Proven leadership and team development skills

Desirable:

  • Degree in Engineering or Facilities Management
  • Experience in critical engineering environments
