Year 1 Teacher - Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting March 2026

Teach a KS1 class full time with high‑quality planning and delivery
Support pupils in developing core skills in reading, writing, numeracy, and wider curriculum subjects
Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour approaches
Adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs, including SEND
Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Contribute fully to planning, assessment, and year‑group collaboration
Attend relevant staff meetings and contribute to whole‑school approaches
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil well‑beingIdeal Year 1 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS1 teaching experience
Preferably in the third year of teaching or beyond
Confident supporting a range of learning and behavioural needs
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Strong organisational and communication abilities
Reflective, proactive, and committed to delivering high‑quality teaching
Reliable, nurturing, and able to motivate pupils of differing abilities
