Mechanical Engineer

Venn Group is working with for a central government organisation to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to successfully support their engineering operations

Day rate: £447.97 per day

Duration: Temporary

Hours: 36 per week

Location: London

The successful candidate will:

• Support and deputise for the Lead Mechanical Engineer in overseeing mechanical, public health, and specialist building services installations and replacements
• Maintain and update technical design guides and standards
• Prepare detailed briefs for both internal and external projects
• Manage and deliver specialist improvement projects
• Provide expert technical advice and support to live projects and wider programme teams
• Drive value for money across asset lifecycles through effective strategy, design, and implementation
• Identify and initiate continuous improvements in engineering systems and processes

The ideal candidate will have:

• Chartered or working towards chartered status (CIBSE, IMechE or equivalent)
• Strong background in mechanical engineering within large, complex estates or heritage environments
• Proven experience delivering strategic asset improvement and capital replacement projects
• Ideally has a design background
