Our client is a leading regional accountancy practice with a strong national reputation across the North of England. Following continued growth in their Private Client service line, they are looking to strengthen their Manchester team with a highly experienced Private Client Tax Manager.
With an established client base ranging from entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals, landed estates, and family businesses, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected and forward-thinking firm that combines professional excellence with a people-focused culture.
Your new role:
As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will play a key role in delivering complex advisory services across a range of clients. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with Partners and senior leadership, while managing and developing a growing team of Tax Seniors and Trainees.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering proactive tax planning advice for Private Clients, including HNWIs and business owners
- Leading client meetings and identifying new advisory opportunities
- Managing a portfolio of advisory projects, including reviewing team members' work
- Monitoring work in progress, recoveries, and billing
- Providing ad hoc technical support to colleagues across the wider firm
- Line management and development of Tax Seniors and Trainees
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- CTA qualified with at least 5 years' experience in Private Client Tax
- A track record of leading advisory projects
- Strong technical knowledge of income tax, CGT, IHT and trusts (Agricultural Tax experience desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing ability
- A proactive, team-focused approach with the ability to collaborate across service lines
- A full UK driving licence
