Quality Engineer

Job Summary
The main purpose of this job is

Main Duties
* Responsible for all Quality related activity regarding Billet and Bar products
* Customer Audits associated with the product line
* NADCAP Heat Treatment - All Production Areas (facilitation and get involvement from people in functional areas).
* Implement improvements to controls and maintain compliance.
* Specification review associated with customer requirements
* Writing and Review of procedures.
* Establish effective processes that ensure compliance
* PSR / 8D / CEDAC / Corrective & Preventive actions / Error proofing
* NPI and all associated quality activity
* Zero defect initiative - raw material: PPAP, FMEA Control plans
* Internal audits, process audits
* Customer complaints resolution
* Data driven continuous improvement
* Support for in-process and final Inspection
* Supplier selection, approval & monitoring
* Management of change & Risk Assessments
* Responsibility for quality record archiving
* Customer liaison including presentations
* Aerospace Customer annual performance review
* Responsibility for process equipment approval & metrology

Product identification & quality awareness training

Experience of:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.
* Company, products, objectives and operations.
* Quality systems and technical specifications
* Successfully balancing multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
* Working independently as well as with and through others to achieved desired results.
