English Teacher - Maternity Cover

Start: ASAPLocation: Stockton-on-TeesWorking Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (3 days p/week)

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Qualified English Teacher (QTS) to join a high-performing secondary school in the Stockton-on-Tees area. This is a part-time, long-term temporary role covering a maternity leave, starting as soon as possible.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach KS3 and KS4 English across Monday to Wednesday
• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality English lessons
• Contribute to a supportive and collaborative English department
• Deliver curriculum content aligned with the AQA exam board (experience with AQA is beneficial)

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
• Strong planning and assessment skills
• Effective classroom and behaviour management
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
