About the Service

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking day service for adults with physical and learning disabilities. The service offers a dynamic, person-centred environment where adults with complex needs—including cerebral palsy, sensory impairments, and Autism Spectrum Conditions—are supported to live fulfilling lives through tailored day opportunities focused on wellbeing, communication, and lifelong learning.

The Role

We are seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated therapy team working with adults who have complex speech, language, communication, and dysphagia needs.

You will:

* Provide assessment and intervention for individuals with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties.

* Work closely with support teams and families, using approaches such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), Intensive Interaction, and Sensory Programmes.

* Contribute to the service's person-centred ethos and help shape evolving therapeutic practice.

* Support and empower service users to enhance their communication skills and quality of life.

You'll be working within a multi-disciplinary team focused on collaborative, evidence-based care.

What We're Looking For

* HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist

* Experience working with people with complex needs and their families

* Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills

* Dysphagia qualification and/or experience (desirable)
