An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a growing and well-established organisation based in Leeds. This is a key role within the finance team, taking ownership of the billing and sales ledger function in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end sales ledger process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery across all billing activities. Key responsibilities include:

Managing contractual invoicing (4-weekly and monthly schedules)
Producing and distributing high volumes of sales invoices
Reconciling invoicing to ledgers and investigating discrepancies
Raising additional invoices as required
Maintaining customer accounts and agreements within the finance system
Posting and matching customer payments
Handling and resolving invoice queries promptly

This role requires strong ownership, organisation, and the ability to meet structured monthly deadlines.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in a Sales Ledger / Accounts Receivable / Accounts Assistant role
Proven experience managing high-volume invoicing
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
The ability to work to deadlines within a structured reporting cycle
A proactive, organised, and reliable approach
The ability to work independently while contributing to a team
