Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in Chorley to recruit fully qualified teachers of English and Maths to join their growing workforce. The school is looking for committed teachers who can start as soon as possible and support students who benefit from a more tailored approach to learning.

The School

This specialist provision supports students with additional learning needs, many of whom require smaller class sizes, structured support, and a nurturing environment to succeed. Staff work closely together to provide a curriculum that is engaging, accessible, and designed to help students build both academic skills and confidence.

The Role

Successful candidates will:

Deliver English or Maths lessons to small groups of students

Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of special educational needs and learning profiles

Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral staff to support student progress

Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages engagement and learning

Monitor and support students' academic and personal development

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Have experience teaching English or Maths at secondary level

Be confident differentiating lessons to meet individual needs

Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Be passionate about supporting students who benefit from alternative or specialist education settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
