The purpose of this position is to participate in shipping and receiving of equipment/materials in and out of the warehouse, understand transfers, picking, pulling and cycle counting, participate in on-site fleet maintenance, have an understanding of safety regulations and adhere to all safety procedures and policies. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with processes and make the organization run more efficient.
Job Duties and Tasks
1. Shipping and Receiving
- Load and unload delivery trucks at company warehouse.
- Assists receiving of materials, equipment and supplies, checks items received against purchase orders for accuracy and inspects merchandise for damage.
- Assists in the arrangement and storage of parts and equipment in the warehouse.
- Helps maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment.
2. Fleet maintenance
- Cleaning and stocking of on-site trucks.
- Maintaining the appearance of company vehicles and forklifts.
3. Warehouse Inventory
- Cycle counts and related inventory control functions
- Operates warehouse vehicles and equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts and trucks.
4. Driving (on an as needed bases)
- Pick up HVAC/R parts and equipment from supply warehouses and our facility warehouse and deliver parts and equipment to field technicians.
- As needed, provide assistance to field technicians on the job.
Experience/Education: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a warehouse or office environment. Specific industry-HVAC/R experience a plus. High School education/GED or equivalent required. Valid CA driver's license in good standing. Prior Forklift experience/certification preferred. EPA certification beneficial.

Hardware: computer keyboard, mobile phone, printer, copier, barcode scanners. Software: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), SAMpro, Verizon Networkfleet or other fleet maintenance management software. Specialized Training/Knowledge: Experience in LTL processing and definitions, inventory cycle counting and general warehouse organization.

While preforming the duties of this job, the employee is working in a warehouse or office environment where there is protection from outside weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes, exposed fumes or airborne particles..
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
