Production Supervisor: Engineering

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire

Hours: Day Shift

Job Type: Permanent / Full-Time

Salary: £35k - £45K per annum

They are a growing business manufacturing complex high precision product for the automotive, motorsport and aerospace markets. They are looking for a confident, organised, and self-motivated Production Supervisor who thrives on hitting deadlines, managing people with respect, and isn't afraid to chase things up when needed.

Experience & Skills:

* Machine shop experience is not required, an interest in automotive/motorsport, aerospace and engineering would be preferred.

* Previous experience in a production/manufacturing supervisor or team leadership role.

* Progress chasing experience.

* Strong people management and communication skills.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

* Hands on, proactive approach with good problem solving-skills.

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel).

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

* Supervise the Shop Floor to ensure efficient workflow, attendance, and adherence to production schedules.

* Progress-chase jobs through the Shop Floor collaborating with various teams and proactively identifying then resolving bottlenecks, ensuring production schedules are achieved.

* Conduct regular team briefings to communicate priorities, deadlines, and any changes to schedules or processes.

* Escalate issues affecting production or delivery timelines to relevant departments/senior managers.

* Ensure staff follow company procedures, quality standards and health & safety policies.

* Maintain accurate records of production performance and report regularly to senior management and during meetings.
