Typically this person will be:

A skilled and safety-conscious Welder responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing ship structures to the highest quality standards. You will be experienced in multi-process welding, capable of working in all positions, and committed to delivering a right-first-time product within a heavy engineering/shipbuilding environment.

Key Responsibilities of Welder:

* Welding carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium structures

* Using FCAW (essential), MMA, MIG, Submerged Arc (automatic/semi-automatic), KAT and Stud Welding processes

* Fabricating and assembling ship components using hand and power tools

* Reading and working to welding procedures and manufacturing instructions

* Ensuring compliance with SHE regulations at all times

* Maintaining quality standards and work tolerances

* Supporting productivity improvements and reducing waste

* Working collaboratively with supervisors and other trades

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

* Proven experience in FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding)

* Ability to weld in all positions using multiple consumables

* Valid Welding Qualifications and Trade Papers

* Knowledge of safe working practices and quality standards

* IOSH (or equivalent), Confined Space & Working at Height certification

* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and SHE risk awareness

* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
