We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join our team at our school in Maidenhead. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to influence major decisions, lead financial planning, and ensure optimal use of resources to support the education and wellbeing of our students. Reporting directly to the Trust CFO, this position is crucial for maintaining financial strength and sustainability.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting activities.
  • Provide trusted financial insights to the Headteacher and senior leadership team.
  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place, along with compliance and audit readiness.
  • Maximise value for money in all financial operations.
  • Manage cash flow, funding, and key financial operations effectively.
  • Lead and develop the school’s finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA).
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to advise and influence senior leaders.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in academy or school finance is advantageous but not essential.
