Bookkeeper & Office Support Assistant
We are working with a growing organisation seeking a proactive and organised individual to support both finance and office operations in a varied, fast-paced role.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and updating purchase and sales ledgers using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Processing supplier invoices, including checking, recording, and raising customer invoices
- Assisting with payment runs, including preparing month-end supplier payments (BACS/online banking)
- Supporting VAT reporting processes and handling employee expense submissions
- Managing and resolving queries relating to invoices, payments, and accounts
Office & Administrative Duties
- Acting as a first point of contact for calls, emails, and general correspondence
- Maintaining accurate digital and physical filing systems
- Ordering and managing office and site supplies
- Coordinating travel arrangements, accommodation, and meeting schedules
- Providing administrative support to HR, including onboarding and maintaining staff records
Requirements
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative
- Comfortable working in a busy, deadline-driven environment
- Strong multitasking and organisational skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Package
- Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
- 3-month probationary period
- 28 days annual leave
