Personal Injury Solicitor – Bradford
A leading, ambitious UK law firm with a strong reputation in defendant personal injury work is seeking an experienced Defendant PI Litigator to join its established litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven legal professional to take ownership of a varied caseload within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
You must be authorised to conduct litigation following Mazur – Solicitor or CILEX with Litigation Practice Rights to be considered for this role.
The Opportunity
You will manage a caseload of predominantly fast track Employer’s Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims, with some exposure to lower-value intermediate track matters. The role offers end-to-end responsibility, from initial instruction through to trial, within a collaborative team structure supported by robust case management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of defendant EL/PL claims from commencement of litigation through to trial
- Deliver high-quality, efficient and commercially focused legal services to clients
- Advise on strategy, liability and quantum
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law
- Ensure compliance with risk management procedures and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold high client service standards
Your Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience handling defendant EL/PL litigation (fast track and multi-track)
- Experience managing claims up to £350,000 through to trial
- Fully conversant with the Civil Procedure Rules and DCP
Desirable:
- Experience in High Court proceedings
- Experience with costs budgeting in multi-track cases
- Background in retail-related claims
