Forge Inspector

Location: Livingston
Salary: £31,991 + £7,997 shift allowance (Total £39,989)
Hours: 37 per week (3-shift rotation)

We are recruiting for a Forge Inspector on behalf of a leading manufacturing client. This role is key to ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across forging and inspection operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Inspect forged components, dies, and machined parts

* Carry out hot and black forge inspections

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

* Use precision measuring equipment and perform numerical calculations

* Support production targets, quality standards, and continuous improvement

* Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and safe systems of work

* Work flexibly across multiple inspection areas as required

Requirements:

* Time-served engineer (HNC or equivalent)

* Strong numerical and problem-solving skills

* Experience in quality inspection and manufacturing environments

* Knowledge of safe working practices and quality systems

* Ability to work shifts and adapt to business needs

Desirable:

* Experience reading technical drawings and using inspection tools
